OUR STORY
Finca Shambhala started with a vision and a desire to heal people through plants and nature. We had a deep yearning to reconnect with the natural world, and to deepen our understanding of the processes and source of our food, which has been greatly lost in our modern society.The journey to this land has been full of surprises, sacrifices, sweat and tears. When we found Shambhala it was completely raw and wild land with no water or electricity. We spent the first 3 years living in a 2 person tent, withstanding the elements and the wild Costa Rican jungle while in deep commune with the land. Now, after much work we are excited to open our doors, and share the magic and healing this place has to offer. You will immediately feel the powerful vibrations of being surrounded by lush jungle and the Diamante waterfall, the nurturing sounds of the birds and monkeys, and the healing effects of the cool waters of the river.
Our farm is a living example of regenerative living and harmony with nature. Our mission is to create a resilient, self sustaining sanctuary that honors the land, supports biodiversity, and nurtures both Earth and the people who care for it. Guided by the principles of permaculture, we cultivate organic food, harvest renewable energy, and work with the natural rhythms of the land.

Our farm is located in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, just 40 minutes away from the beautiful coastal surf towns of Uvita and Dominical. Finca Shambhala borders the powerful Diamante river and has magical views of the Diamante waterfall, the tallest waterfall in the country!
